An Examination of Sport Management Faculty Journal Publications and Conference Presentations in the United States and Canada

Abstract
Over the past several decades, assessment within the field of sport management has focused on areas such as curriculum, faculty preparation and accreditation. The purpose of this study goes beyond previous assessment research by reviewing journal publications and conference presentations of sport management faculty to further understand the progress of the sport management field as a whole in these areas. A comprehensive list of more than 4,500 sport and non-sport journal publications and conference presentations show a unique look into sport management field assessment that compliments previous assessment literature toward the growth of the field as well as providing evidence of an interdisciplinary research agenda.
